Why YOU Should Attend the Orange Conference

Well, today wraps up Orange Blogger Week. Click HERE for links to all the bloggers participating in this week. For my final post I thought I would share my thoughts on why YOU should attend this conference. It’s about more than selling curriculum: I know many people worry about attending a conference put on by a company that produces curriculum. The fear is that the conference will simply be a big, expensive sales pitch. Last year I room with Joe McAlpine going into the week he confided in me that he had avoided this conference, and others like it, for this very reason. Well, he is already making plans to attend…

    Another Reason to LOVE Orange

Many of you may already know that I LOVE the entire orange movement. I also love all the people at ReThink, aka ORANGE. Here is yet another reason to love them. Ultimately, the end goal for many parents is “well rounded, well educated, happy kids.” Even Christian parents tend to strive for these things. At the 2012 Orange Conference Craig Groeschel challenged ministry leaders and Christian parents to measure success in a whole new way. “As parents and ministry leaders, what do you think success is for the next generation?” This is the…

    Orange Conference and Friendship

When you attend a large, national conference such as the Orange Conference there are certain things you expect. Great speakers, great music, informative breakouts, vendors, free swag, you get the idea. All this stuff is great, but there is something that is far more valuable, people. There were many people that I met at last years Orange Conference. Some I have frequent contact with, others not so much. But, there is one person that has become a very close friend, Tom Bump. The truth is I only met Tom in passing. He and I just happened to be part of the same large group that was hanging out in a…
